Amidst strong interest from Flamengo in the transfer market, forward Luiz Henrique takes to social media to send a message following his latest match for Zenit.
Flamengo‘s search for a marquee signing continues to dominate the club’s behind-the-scenes activity. After negotiations for Thiago Almada hit a wall, forward Luiz Henrique, currently playing for Zenit (RUS), has become the board’s primary target for the remainder of the season.
The player, who took the field this Wednesday (05) for the Russian Cup, broke his silence on his current career status via an Instagram post. Following his team’s 1-0 victory, Luiz Henrique shared an optimistic message:
“Another step in the right direction. Proud of this team. We keep working, we keep believing. All glory to God,” the forward wrote.
A multi-million dollar offer on the table
To bring the player out of Russian football, Flamengo is preparing an aggressive offer. According to reporting by the M360 Team, the Rubro-Negro‘s plan is to formalize a bid of 30 million euros (approximately R$ 177 million). The total package for the deal could rise by another 5 million euros (R$ 29.5 million) linked to performance-based goals and contract bonuses.
There is a long history of interest between the parties. In 2024, when the forward was still with Betis (ESP), the Mais Querido attempted to sign him, but Botafogo ultimately won the race. In early 2026, the athlete’s name began circulating in Gávea again, although at the time he refrained from commenting on a potential transfer.
Full focus on the Brazilian Serie A
While the football leadership works to shape the squad, Filipe Luís‘s team remains focused on their immediate commitments. Flamengo‘s next challenge is against Vitória this Sunday (09) in the Brazilian Serie A.
The match is scheduled for 7:30 PM (Brasília time) at the Maracanã. Fans can follow all the coverage details through Coluna do Fla TV on YouTube, in addition to the official Premiere pay-per-view broadcast.
