After experiencing one of its busiest transfer windows in recent years, Cruzeiro has decided to shift its approach and slow down the pace of negotiations. The club’s SAF leadership believes that all requested players have already been provided to the coaching staff, and therefore, the current moment calls for caution. The primary focus now is to ensure that the new additions quickly adapt to the playing style before considering further investments.
The Minas Gerais club is expected to close this window with six confirmed signings. The group includes names such as left-back Gabriel Rojas, defensive midfielder Zé Lucas, and forwards Gabriel Pec, Lucho Rodríguez, Wesley, and João Costa. With a strengthened squad, the coaching staff is working to integrate these athletes, increasing tactical options for the remaining challenges on the calendar.
Strategy Focused on the Libertadores
The Cruzeiro board’s planning was guided by the upcoming Copa Libertadores Round of 16. Efforts were concentrated on registering the new players in time for the decisive clash against Flamengo, ensuring the coach could rely on the full available strength.
