The Brazilian men’s national basketball team takes the court this Saturday aiming to keep their unbeaten streak in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers against Venezuela, in Cali.

The Brazilian national team is experiencing a period of full confidence under coach Aleksandar Petrovic. With qualification for the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 Qualifiers already secured and the leadership of Group C guaranteed, Brazil faces the clash against Venezuela this Saturday (4th) with the clear objective of maintaining a flawless record in the competition.

The game, originally scheduled to take place in Venezuelan territory, was relocated to the Coliseo Evangelista Mora in Cali, Colombia. This logistical change reflects the resilience of the national squad, which will need to quickly adapt to the new venue to conclude the first phase with a perfect campaign. The match is set to tip off at 9:10 PM (Brasília time) and will be broadcast live on CazéTV.

Full focus on remaining undefeated

With four wins in four games, Brazil has already proven its strength against opponents such as Chile, Colombia, and Venezuela itself. Maintaining a 100% winning record is not just a matter of pride, but a strategic factor for the second phase, where every result achieved in the initial stage carries decisive weight for final qualification to the World Cup.

Regarding the team’s approach, coach Aleksandar Petrovic emphasizes the importance of maintaining intensity. The team, which features prominent players like Bruno Caboclo and Yago Mateus, understands that the project aiming for 2027 depends on absolute consistency in every qualifying window.

Absences and roster

For this challenge, the coaching staff will be without Mãozinha Pereira and Pedro Pastre. Nevertheless, the squad remains robust, with key players such as Gui Deodato, Didi Louzada, and Gabriel Jaú ready to honor the yellow and green jersey. A physical and hard-fought game is expected, characteristic of South American matchups.

“Maintaining the winning rhythm is fundamental for our evolution process, ensuring we reach the second-phase matchups with high morale and the maximum possible points,” highlights the coaching staff’s plan.

After the matchup against the Venezuelans, Brazil will have little time to rest. The team concludes its participation in the first phase next Monday (6th), again on Colombian soil, facing the host nation. Brazilian fans, even from afar, are following the journey towards Qatar 2027 with passion, love, and determination.
