Brazil U-15 beats Chile and advances preparations for the Liga Evolución

The Brazil U-15 national team wrapped up its fourth preparation stage in style, looking ahead to the Liga Evolución, a continental tournament set to shake up the youth football landscape in September. In an electrifying clash in Santiago, the team, led by talented head coach Guilherme Dalla Déa, overcame Chile with a 4-2 scoreline. The goals that secured the victory were scored by Gabriel Leite (twice), Samuell, and Maurício, showcasing the team’s offensive strength.

Granja Comary as the starting point

The journey to victory began at the iconic Granja Comary in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro. There were six intensive training sessions at the home of the Brazil national team before the delegation traveled to Chile. The coaching staff’s main focus during this phase has been to give all called-up players the chance to prove their worth on the pitch. In the first friendly against the Chileans, an impressive 8-1 victory for Brazil, all 22 players had the opportunity to play. In the match that concluded the preparation, 21 athletes were utilized, highlighting the rotation and the pursuit of a complete assessment of the squad.

Emerging talents in the spotlight

One of the most promising aspects of this preparation is the rise of new talents. Of the players called up by Guilherme Dalla Déa, several made their debut wearing the yellow jersey. They include: Guilherme Borges (Internacional-RS), Yan Borges (Sport-PE), Gabriel Rodrigues (Palmeiras-SP), Marcos Vinícius (Botafogo-RJ), José Kayck (Ceará-CE), Azhaf Mendes (Athletico-PR), and Asafe Santos (Internacional-RS).

Next steps toward the continental tournament

With the win over Chile, Brazil takes an important step toward the fifth and final preparation phase for the Liga Evolución. The Brazil U-15 national team schedule includes two more friendlies against Uruguay in August, held once again at Granja Comary. These matches will serve as the final test before the continental competition, where the passion for football and the grit shown on the pitch will be essential to achieving the coveted title.
