The traditional Lubrax sponsorship marks its return to the Flamengo kit for the derby against Fluminense, featuring special activations and Zico as the official ambassador of the partnership.
The derby between Flamengo and Fluminense, valid for the 30th round of the Brazilian Serie A, marks the historic reunion of the Rubro-Negro club with one of its most iconic brands.
Lubrax, the lubricant brand managed by Vibra, is returning to the professional team’s kit after a 17-year absence.
The new phase of the partnership bets on emotional appeal by bringing back club idol Zico as the official ambassador, reviving a victorious connection built in past decades.
Contract details and changes to the kit
The return of the brand was approved by the club’s Deliberative Council in a vote held in July, sealing an initial commitment valid for three seasons.
On the men’s team kit, the logo will occupy the upper back, while on the women’s team, it will be applied to the lower hem of the jersey.
The restructuring of the space included adjustments to accommodate partners like Hapvida, sharing the kit with Betano and kit supplier Adidas.
Celebrations in the stands and advertising campaigns
To mark the debut at the Maracanã, the North sector of the stadium will feature activities organized with fans, including a large banner and themed mosaics.
During the television broadcast break on Globo, the Africa Creative agency will launch the commercial “Milagres da camisa” (Miracles of the Shirt), based on classic sports columns.
“Once Flamengo. Always Lubrax”
The communication strategy also includes commercial promotions to bring fans to the luxury boxes and exclusive videos hosted by Zico on social media.
Historic legacy in national sports
The pioneering union began in April 1984, when the brand became the first main sponsor printed on the Flamengo shirt.
For 25 uninterrupted years, the brand accompanied remarkable achievements such as the Copa do Brasil and national trophies until the end of the initial cycle in 2009.
After years focused on motorsports, Vibra, formerly BR Distribuidora, is once again directing its investments toward mass-market football.
On the pitch, the team led by coach Leonardo Jardim looks to defend its standing in the championship, counting on the return of full-back Varela and dealing with the absence of Jorginho.
The broadcast of the match on Globo and the Premiere channel consolidates the visibility of this new commercial stage, projecting positive impacts for the club’s investment and marketing management.
