When I arrived, I didn’t arrive with my family, I arrived alone. The people who had brought me there had disappeared, and I had to manage on my own just to get to training. It wasn’t easy. It was a difficult time getting used to things, integrating. That influenced my training.

Whoever went to my apartment, I had nothing to show, so I’d take them to a restaurant, a shop… But today I thank God, because I became a fighter. Flamengo was my university. It was the perfect place for me to become psychologically strong.
