Flamengo leads CONMEBOL prize money in Libertadores, accumulating $57 million through the semifinals.
The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has released the earnings of the semifinalist clubs in the 2026 Copa Libertadores, with Flamengo standing out in the lead.
The Rio de Janeiro club, current champion of the tournament, has already secured approximately 9.61 million dollars in prize money, which equates to about R$ 57 million at the current exchange rate.
This financial assessment highlights Flamengo’s strong campaign in the competition. Flamengo‘s performance in the group stage was remarkable, with five wins in six matches, securing qualification for the round of 16.
Subsequently, the team eliminated Cruzeiro and Independiente del Valle to reach the semifinals.
Earnings in the Libertadores
After Flamengo, Palmeiras ranks second, with earnings of 9.27 million dollars, approximately R$ 55 million.
Rounding out the list of teams that reached the semifinals, Estudiantes (from Argentina) and Fluminense are tied, each with 8.93 million dollars, translating to about R$ 53 million.
Next Steps and Financial Potential
Flamengo‘s next challenge in its quest for a second consecutive title will be against Estudiantes (ARG).
The semifinal matches are scheduled for October 14th and 21st. In addition to the amounts already secured, winning the Libertadores title could yield an additional 25 million dollars, bringing the total campaign earnings to over 40 million dollars.
