Flamengo is in advanced negotiations for the possible exit of Gonzalo Plata, who has drawn the attention of Dynamo Moscow in this final stretch of the transfer window.
The transfer market remains active behind the scenes at Mais Querido. Dynamo Moscow, from Russia, has officially expressed interest in Ecuadorian forward Gonzalo Plata and is seeking to facilitate the signing of the 25-year-old player this month.
The negotiations are ongoing, although the clubs are still finalizing the final details of the deal.
Negotiation Details
According to information reported by the portal “ge”, there is still no agreement between the clubs. The impasse revolves around the final figures and, primarily, the schedule and payment conditions proposed by the Russian side.
Flamengo, which signed the winger in 2024 from Al-Sadd, of Qatar, for approximately $9.1 million (about R$ 51.9 million at the time’s exchange rate), is adopting a cautious stance.
Due to the player’s increased value after his participation in the 2026 World Cup, the red-and-black board is demanding an amount higher than the initial investment to release the player.
Plata’s Situation at the Club
The Russian club’s interest is not recent; Dynamo Moscow has been monitoring Plata‘s situation since the opening of this window, establishing itself as the main party interested in securing the player.
The negotiation is occurring during a transitional period for the player within the squad.
Under coach Leonardo Jardim, the forward has alternated between starting roles and the bench, losing some of the prominence he had at the beginning of his time in Rio de Janeiro.
In the current season, Plata has played 32 matches, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
The expectation is that this negotiation will be concluded in the coming days. The player’s permanence or departure will directly impact the red-and-black squad’s planning for the remainder of the competitions, with fans awaiting an official statement from the club.
