Reassessment awaits 48-hour window
Although an initial assessment was conducted immediately after the final whistle on Wednesday (12), the coaching staff opted to extend the observation period. Bruno Henrique‘s new evaluation is scheduled for Friday (14), after the morning training session.

The incident in question occurred in the 11th minute of the first half. Matheus Henrique caught Bruno Henrique‘s shin with the studs of his boot. Despite the force, referee Yael Falcón Pérez issued only a yellow card, which caused strong indignation from Flamengo and its fans.
The number 27 remained on the field but was substituted in the second half.
Forward speaks out about the tackle
After the game, Bruno Henrique expressed his frustration with the referee’s decision and the VAR’s performance. He reported severe pain in his ankle ligament and criticized the lack of review for the play:
The doctor examined me, and I’ll be reevaluated in Rio. I’m in a lot of pain in my ankle ligament, and what bothers me is that VAR didn’t call the referee to review the play.
The athlete also sarcastically commented on the justification he received on the field that the tackle was not high-intensity.
