Bruno Henrique’s career has reached a memorable level in Brazilian football. With Flamengo’s 2-1 victory over their São Paulo-based opponent, the number 27 officially recorded his 600th official match as a professional.
The feat, which cements the player as one of the most successful figures in the club’s recent history, was met with understandable emotion by the athlete.
Bruno Henrique stated:
When I started back at Uberlândia, I never imagined I would reach a milestone like this. That’s a lot of games.
The striker looked back on the humble beginnings of his journey in Minas Gerais.
A Path of Resilience and Glory
A native of Belo Horizonte, Bruno Henrique’s road to stardom included stints at clubs such as Itumbiara, Goiás, Wolfsburg (Germany), and Santos.
However, it was starting in 2019, when he first wore the iconic red-and-black jersey, that he experienced the peak of his career. In his debut for Flamengo, he signaled what was to come by scoring both goals in a victory over Botafogo.
Since then, he has recorded 386 games, 121 goals, and 61 assists for the club. The striker has become a key player in the capture of 18 official titles, including three Libertadores trophies and three Brazilian Serie A titles.
He shares with Arrascaeta the record for the most official titles in the club’s history.
The 100th Goal and Immortality at Gávea
For the number 27, the most iconic moment of this long journey has a name and a date: his 100th goal, scored against Vasco in the semifinals of the 2025 Campeonato Carioca.
The goal not only marked a historic personal milestone but was also decisive in securing the team’s spot in the state tournament final.
My most memorable moment at Flamengo was my 100th goal against Vasco. Scoring 100 goals in this shirt is truly special, and it also helped us qualify for the final.
Recognized as the third-highest scorer for Flamengo in the 21st century, Bruno Henrique continues to play a leading role in 2026.
Currently, he is the team’s top scorer in the Libertadores, a competition in which the club is playing the semifinals against Estudiantes.
With his contract extended through the end of 2027, the idol will receive a definitive tribute: on November 15, Flamengo’s anniversary, the striker will be honored with a bust at the Gávea headquarters, cementing his name alongside other legends who built the club’s greatness.
