Flamengo’s medical staff is working intensely to clear the injury list and bolster the squad for the decisive stretch of the season.
Flamengo is taking advantage of a week without matches to empty its medical department and recover key players for the squad led by Leonardo Jardim. With the next fixture scheduled only for Sunday (09), the coaching staff is focusing on preparing the athletes for the final stretch of the Brazilian Serie A and the upcoming Libertadores knockout stage.

Player status update
Midfielder De La Cruz does not have an injury, but he continues to be managed. The player has been experiencing thigh discomfort and has restrictions regarding playing on artificial turf due to knee pain.
Meanwhile, defender Léo Ortiz has clinically recovered from a muscle injury. According to reports, his return to the pitch was delayed due to the player feeling some insecurity during the rehabilitation process.
Forward Plata is dealing with edema in his knee’s pes anserinus area. The injury is not considered serious, and he is following a specific training regimen and is expected to be available for the next match.
Léo Pereira, who suffered a minor knock after a collision in the match against Internacional, is already training normally with the group.
Expectations and upcoming matches
Forward Luiz Araújo is the case that requires the most attention. Having started physical therapy last Saturday (01), the player is undergoing daily evaluations. The Rubro-Negro‘s goal is to have him in ideal condition for the match against Cruzeiro, valid for the Libertadores, on August 12.
