Club icon Bruno Henrique has reached the historic milestone of 200 matches for Flamengo in the Brazilian Championship. In recognition, the club will pay a lasting tribute to the forward at Gávea.

The 1-1 draw between Flamengo and São Paulo, played last Sunday at the Maracanã, held special significance for the history of one of the biggest names on our roster. By stepping onto the pitch, Bruno Henrique completed the impressive milestone of 200 matches representing the Manto Sagrado in the top flight of national football.

Since his arrival at Gávea in 2019, the number 27 has written unforgettable chapters. Alongside Arrascaeta, he established himself as a fundamental piece of the club’s most victorious era, accumulating decisive contributions, memorable goals, and a fighting spirit that personifies the club’s motto: Race, Love, and Passion.

A career of impressive numbers

Throughout these 200 matches in the Brazilian Serie A, the ‘King of Classics’ has built statistics that would be the envy of any forward on the continent. He has scored 69 goals and provided 21 assists, totaling 90 direct goal contributions. His presence on the pitch has always been synonymous with constant danger for opposing defenses.

Even in a 2026 season where he is looking to rediscover his scoring touch in the tournament, his tactical importance remains unquestionable. The player continues to be a vital technical leader for the Rubro-Negro squad in the pursuit of new objectives this season.

Immortalized at Gávea

The Mais Querido board of directors did not let the milestone go unnoticed. The club’s president confirmed a tribute worthy of the athlete’s stature: Bruno Henrique will receive a bust at Flamengo‘s headquarters. The monument will stand alongside Arrascaeta‘s, celebrating the duo that holds the record for titles won in the red-and-black shirt.

“The unveiling of the sculptures is scheduled for November 15th, the date the club celebrates its 131st anniversary, crowning a journey of 18 titles won by each of these idols.”

Full focus on Beira-Rio

With recognition guaranteed and his legacy solidified, Bruno Henrique‘s focus returns to the pitch. The Flamengo squad is already preparing for their next challenge in the Brazilian Championship.

The match will be against Internacional next Wednesday at 7:30 PM in Porto Alegre. The fans remain confident that Mengão will go for the three points on the road to continue climbing the table.
