Estudiantes now knows where it will host Flamengo in the first leg of the CONMEBOL Libertadores quarterfinals. On Thursday (24), the Argentine club confirmed that the match will take place at the UNO Stadium in La Plata. The arena holds just over 32,500 spectators, surpassing the 30,000 limit required by South American soccer’s governing body.
Expectations are that the Rubro-Negro will receive an allocation of 6,000 seats, with ticket sales restricted to 4,000 following regulations. The Argentine side enters the matchup with momentum after eliminating Corinthians in the Round of 16, securing a 1-0 win at the Neo Química Arena and a 1-1 draw in the second leg, also played at the Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium.
First Leg Set
The first encounter between Estudiantes and Flamengo is scheduled for October 15 at 9:30 PM (Brasília time) in Argentina. The return leg, which will decide who advances in the competition, will take place at the Maracanã the following week on the 22nd, also at 9:30 PM.
