The tenure of experienced midfielder Willian with Grêmio has officially come to an end. The 38-year-old player used his Instagram profile this Saturday (29th) to announce that he has signed the termination of his contract with the Porto Alegre club, simultaneously publishing a farewell message to the fans and the institution.
The departure of the player, who had a contract with Tricolor until the end of 2026, was already anticipated. Willian had agreed to the terms for ending his contract in early August, after being informed in July that he was not part of coach Luís Castro‘s plans for the remainder of the season.

As many people already knew, I agreed to leave Grêmio a few weeks ago, and today, we officially signed the termination of my contract.
