Brazilian player Talisca celebrates his quick integration into Al Jazira, from the United Arab Emirates, highlighting his focus on results after leaving Fenerbahçe due to foreign player limits.
Talisca‘s journey in international football has entered a new chapter. Following a forced departure from Fenerbahçe, where he had to leave the Turkish club due to restrictions on the number of foreign players, the Brazilian attacking midfielder has begun his stint with Al Jazira.
About a month after the transfer, the player is already showing complete harmony with his new environment. The transition period, which is usually a challenge for athletes, has been made easier by his previous experience playing in Middle East football, ensuring a swift adaptation to pitches in the Arab world.
Immediate impact and numbers
Since his arrival in September, Talisca has quickly become an important piece in Al Jazira‘s tactical setup. In five matches played, the Brazilian featured in the starting lineup four times, actively contributing with goals and assists, which reinforces the coaching staff’s confidence in his football.
“It is a new phase for my career, and I am very happy to be able to help Al Jazira by scoring goals and providing assists. Today, once again, I had the joy of finding the back of the net. I feel increasingly adapted to the league and my teammates. The match atmosphere here is very good. We take the field excited.”
Beyond the pitch
An elite player’s adaptation goes far beyond physical or tactical performance. For Talisca, the challenge of integrating into a new society, with different customs, cuisine, and language, has been a process of continuous learning. His previous background playing for Al-Nassr served as a strategic advantage in this transition.
“When you move to a team in a country different from the one you were in, adaptation isn’t just about the pitch. It’s a new culture, a new society, cuisine, language… All of that is part of the machinery. I’ve already had a stint in Middle East football, so that makes things a bit easier regarding customs.”
Legacy in Turkey and the future
Before his arrival in the United Arab Emirates, the Brazilian experienced a period of intense prominence at Fenerbahçe. Between January 2025 and his departure, he recorded impressive numbers, including 44 goals in 75 matches, in addition to being decisive in securing qualification for the 2026/27 Champions League with crucial goals during the continental tournament’s qualifiers.
The change of scenery, forced by the arrival of reinforcements such as Lukaku and Vedat Muriqi, does not seem to have shaken the player’s morale. On the contrary, Talisca is now channeling all his European experience to strengthen Al Jazira‘s project. With clear goals for the season, the Brazilian remains one of the central figures in the squad, being closely monitored by M360 Team.
