Igor Paixão reveals interest from Brazil and dreams of Flamengo, but remains focused on growth in Europe.
Forward Igor Paixão, 26, has been standing out in European competitions, drawing attention from various clubs.

Although he confirmed contacts and speculation from Brazilian football, including interest from Flamengo and Palmeiras, Paixão stated that no concrete offers have arrived so far.
“I can speak openly. There has been contact with my agents regarding Flamengo and Palmeiras. There are some speculations. No concrete [offer] has arrived, so it is mostly speculation for now. I think it will happen at the right time,”
the forward declared.

Despite the inquiries, Igor Paixão‘s heart seems set on a specific destination should the ideal moment for a return to Brazil arise.
A declared Flamengo fan since childhood, the player nurtures a desire to wear the Manto Sagrado.
“I have a dream of playing for Flamengo. God willing, one day I will be wearing the Flamengo jersey, fulfilling my childhood dream and the dream of my family, who are all Flamengo supporters,”
he revealed.
His passion for the Rio de Janeiro club was inherited from his father and grandfather, and moments like the Libertadores title victory, featuring two goals from Gabigol, remain standout memories for the forward.
Focus on Europe and Future in the Premier League
Although the dream of wearing the Flamengo jersey is evident, Igor Paixão shows maturity and professionalism by prioritizing his career in Europe.
He revealed that during the last transfer market window, he was close to a move to Sunderland in England, but chose to remain at Olympique de Marseille.
“That window was a bit intense, where the club put everyone up for sale. I didn’t really want to leave, I don’t want to leave.”
“I chose to stay to help my team, as we couldn’t sign new players and there wouldn’t be anyone to replace me,”
he explained.
Paixão‘s goal is clear: to establish himself in the elite of European football and seek an opportunity in the Premier League in the near future.
His intention is to have a standout season to attract interest from English clubs, taking the next step in his career while always prioritizing what is best for himself and the club he represents.
