The news, communicated by Dynamo Moscow to Clube de Regatas do Flamengo last Tuesday (1st), pointed to an incompatibility between the athlete’s health parameters and the requirements set by the purchasing club.
Medical tests halt transfer
Flamengo had cleared Gonzalo Plata to travel to Russia to undergo standard procedures before signing the contract. However, the medical tests were not satisfactory to the Moscow-based club, making the completion of the transfer unfeasible.

Return to the squad
With the deal cancelled, Gonzalo Plata, who represented the Ecuador national team at the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup and had been playing regularly for Flamengo, will return to the Rio de Janeiro club.
