Days before the match, Remo‘s official profile published a direct warning to fans who intended to infiltrate the Leão’s (Lion’s) fanbase wearing other clubs’ jerseys. The text, which sparked debate on social media, was eventually removed due to negative repercussions but did not prevent the atmosphere from becoming hostile for the Rio de Janeiro team’s supporters living in the region.
