Flamengo faces Ferroviária seeking spot in Brasileirão Feminino semifinals

Flamengo kicks off its Brasileirão Feminino quarterfinal campaign against Ferroviária, aiming for a spot in the national tournament’s semifinals.

This Saturday (29th), Flamengo takes the field for a decisive clash in the Brasileirão Feminino. The red-and-black team will face Ferroviária in the first leg of the quarterfinals, a matchup that could define both teams’ futures in the national competition.

The duel promises to be intense, given the strong performance of both teams in the group stage. The venue for this first match will be the Estádio Luso-Brasileiro, with kickoff scheduled for 4:30 PM (Brasília time).

Match Details and Broadcast

Fans will have several options to follow the first leg between Flamengo and Ferroviária. The match will be broadcast on open channels such as Globo and TV Brasil, as well as pay-TV options like SporTV and Uol.

For those who prefer digital platforms, GE TV on YouTube will also cover the event. The second leg is scheduled for next Saturday, August 5th, at the Arena Multiuso da Fonte Luminosa in Araraquara.

A Voice of Experience: Cristiane Projects the Knockout Stage

Forward Cristiane, one of the most experienced players on the red-and-black squad, emphasized the importance of this stage of the competition for Flamengo. She highlighted the significance of qualifying for the knockout phase, despite fluctuations during the regular season.

Cristiane stated:

“Qualifying was very important for us, as we fluctuated a lot during the competition. We’re going to face a highly qualified team, we know their potential. We have to try to get a good first result here at home, with our fans.”

The player added:

“It’s been many years since I won the Campeonato Brasileiro. It would be extremely important for our careers and, especially, for Flamengo, which has had a project for the sport for some time now.”

Refereeing Crew Announced

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has already released the refereeing team for the match. The main referee will be Deborah Cecília Cruz Correia (PE), assisted by Elaise Juliana Santana Ferreira (PE) and Thania Lopes da Silva (PA).

The fourth official will be Sâmia Kelle de Amorim Alves (RJ), and the VAR will be under the responsibility of Jose Ricardo Vasconcellos Laranjeira (AL).

Teams’ First Phase Records

Both teams arrive at this elimination stage with good recent results. Flamengo shows consistency, with a three-game unbeaten streak in the Brasileirão, including a 4-1 rout over Atlético-MG in the last round.

The Rubro-Negro finished the qualifying phase in fifth place with 30 points. Meanwhile, Ferroviária boasts an even more impressive record, remaining undefeated for nine matches in the Brasileirão Feminino.
