Flamengo officially implements a new complimentary ticket system for fans with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring greater inclusion and accessibility, effective immediately for the decisive match against Vitória at the Maracanã.
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo has taken a significant step toward making the Maracanã an increasingly welcoming venue. Starting this Monday (27), the club implemented a new registration and ticket redemption process exclusively for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), reinforcing its commitment to social inclusion.
The new initiative, which goes into effect immediately, is already valid for the team’s upcoming match against Vitória. With the new system, approved fans will have the flexibility to choose between the Sala do Bem (Wellness Room) — the club’s modern sensory rooms — or the South Stand, depending on availability and the specific rules of the benefit.
Step-by-Step Application Process
For fans already using the FutebolCard platform, the process is simplified: simply access the complimentary ticket portal with your usual credentials. If the benefit is not yet active, the user must select the ‘Register’ option, choose the specific category for ASD, indicate the required support level, and attach the necessary documentation.
After submission, the club will conduct a document analysis and send the response directly via email, confirming approval or detailing any outstanding issues. New users must create an account in the system before applying for complimentary access.
Details on the Sala do Bem and Companions
Flamengo provides two sensory rooms at the Maracanã, with a total capacity for 32 people per match. The benefit includes a free ticket for the beneficiary and one companion, a rule valid for both the Sala do Bem and the South Stand. It is important to note that access to the sensory rooms is exclusive to those who are properly registered for this specific category.
Regarding accompaniment rules, the club has established clear guidelines:
- Minors under 18 must register a legal guardian (over 18), with joint redemption in the same transaction.
- Individuals over 18 with support level 3 must register an adult companion.
- Individuals over 18 with support levels 1 or 2 have the autonomy to redeem only their own ticket, if they prefer.
Commitment to Fans
Flamengo emphasizes that tickets are linked to the beneficiary’s CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer registry identification number) and are non-transferable, which ensures the security and proper application of the right to complimentary access. With this measure, Flamengo remains at the forefront of Brazilian football, promoting initiatives that ensure a safer and more welcoming environment for fans with ASD and their families on match days at the stadium.
