However, Ecuadorian forward Djorkaeff Reasco expressed confidence in his team’s ability to overturn the deficit. Despite being at a disadvantage, Reasco downplayed the result and projected qualification for the semifinals at the Maracanã.

Speaking to the press after the match, Reasco stated that the tie is far from decided. “In my opinion, everything is still open. We also have a great team, so we’re going with the same determination to seek this victory. I feel that the altitude issue shouldn’t change anything,” declared the striker.
