Flamengo utilized LDU’s facilities in Quito to finalize their preparations for the decisive Copa Libertadores match, celebrating the partnership between the clubs.
In a gesture of courtesy and appreciation, Flamengo officially expressed its gratitude to Liga Deportiva Universitária (LDU). The Rio-based team received essential support from the Ecuadorian club during their acclimatization and training period in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, ahead of their CONMEBOL Libertadores challenge.
The Rubro-Negro delegation used the modern Edgardo Bauza Training Center on Tuesday (8) and Wednesday (9). Over these two days, the squad had access to LDU’s state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring that the coaching staff could carry out their preparatory sessions with all the necessary support before the match.
Preparation focused on Independiente del Valle
The training sessions on Ecuadorian soil were fundamental to Flamengo’s strategy for this Thursday’s (10) duel. The match, valid for the Libertadores, pits the Rubro-Negro against Independiente del Valle in a fixture that demands maximum focus from the Brazilian side.
Flamengo thanks LDU for the hospitality and partnership shown during our stay in the Ecuadorian capital.
The decision to hold training sessions at LDU’s center of excellence demonstrates the club’s commitment to providing the best possible conditions for the squad. This sporting exchange between the clubs reinforces institutional ties and highlights the importance of logistical cooperation in high-level international competitions like the Libertadores.
With preparations now complete, the group’s full focus shifts to the clash against Independiente del Valle. The result on the pitch will mark the conclusion of a preparation period that, at least behind the scenes, was backed by elite infrastructure made possible by the strong relationship between the South American clubs.
