The Cebolinha Era at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo has come to an end. The forward, who requested the transfer, mutually agreed to his departure to Santos Futebol Clube. The negotiation comes as the player’s contract is set to expire in less than four months.
End of a Cycle with Significant Achievements
During his tenure with the Most Beloved (Flamengo), Everton Cebolinha amassed 199 appearances and was a key player during a successful period for the club. In total, the forward celebrated winning two CONMEBOL Libertadores titles, one Brazilian Serie A title, two Copa do Brasil titles, three Campeonato Carioca titles, and one Supercopa do Brasil.
Gratitude and Well Wishes
Flamengo issued an official statement thanking the athlete for his professionalism, dedication, and contribution. The club wished the player success and much joy in his new journey in Brazilian football.
Cebolinha’s departure marks the end of a victorious cycle for the Rubro-Negro (Flamengo’s nickname) and opens a new chapter in the forward’s career, who will now wear the Peixe (Santos’ nickname) jersey. The impact of this transfer on the performance of both teams in upcoming competitions is yet to be fully felt.
