In a video released on social media this Thursday (24), the Flamengo icon revealed details about the R4 project, a women’s soccer team based in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará.

The revelation highlights the difficulty of maintaining sports projects far from major urban centers. According to Angelim, the R$1.5 million amount came entirely from his personal funds.

Founded in 2010 as a social initiative, R4 evolved from a community initiative into a professionalized club.

The club, which already boasts titles such as the Campeonato Barbalhense and ASSEAJUNO trophies, is now looking forward to a significant milestone: the official dispute of the 2026 Campeonato Cearense.
