Flamengo has made the return of Lubrax as a sponsor official. The partnership, which defined an era between 1984 and 2009, returns with a three-year contract and an investment of R$ 24 million per year.

The Rubro-Negro universe is celebrating a nostalgic and strategic reunion. After a multi-year hiatus, Flamengo and Lubrax have announced the reactivation of one of the most iconic partnerships in the history of national sports. The brand, which adorned the “Mais Querido” jersey for 25 consecutive years, returns in full force, taking its place on the back of the official match shirt.

The deal, which includes an investment of R$ 24 million per season, reflects the administrative stability the club has achieved. For Vibra Energia, the brand’s current parent company, the decision to renew the bond was not merely commercial, but a bet on the emotional recognition that the fans still hold for the lubricant brand.

Tradition and innovation on the “Manto Sagrado”

For the company’s leadership, returning to the pitch alongside Flamengo offers an immediate competitive advantage: they are not starting from scratch. With the weight of 45 million fans and the strength of the brand in the collective imagination, Lubrax sees strong growth potential.

“We understood that this reconnection made perfect sense at this current moment, where we aim to unite our tradition—now also with a great deal of innovation and technology in our products—with this renewed contact with Flamengo,” stated Marcelo Bragança, CEO of Lubrax.

Focus on women’s soccer and new activations

Beyond the impact on the men’s team, the agreement includes an important component: support for women’s soccer. According to the company’s leadership, encouraging women in sports was a priority from the initial discussions, also aiming for visibility ahead of next year’s Women’s World Cup.

The strategy goes well beyond the four lines. The club and the brand promise to engage fans in their day-to-day lives with activations that go beyond match days. Starting in October, the “Nação Rubro-Negra” can expect a series of integrated actions, consolidating a relationship that, according to the CEO, aims to be as long-lasting as it was in the last century.

The return of Lubrax reinforces Flamengo‘s ability to attract major market players, consolidating the club as the primary showcase for Brazilian soccer. With professional management and consistent numbers, the “Rubro-Negro” continues to raise the bar in the Brazilian sponsorship market.
