Flamengo has officially announced the return of Lubrax as a sponsor. The partnership, which defined an era between 1984 and 2009, returns with a three-year contract and an annual investment of R$ 24 million.

The Rubro-Negro community is celebrating a nostalgic and strategic reunion. After a years-long hiatus, Flamengo and Lubrax have announced the revival of one of the most iconic partnerships in the history of national sports. The brand, which appeared on the club’s jersey for 25 consecutive years, returns with full force, taking its place on the back of the official shirt.

The deal, which includes an investment of R$ 24 million per season, reflects the administrative stability achieved by the club. For Vibra Energia, the brand’s current parent company, the decision to renew the link was not merely commercial, but a bet on the affective recognition that the fanbase still holds for the lubricant brand.

Tradition and innovation on the Manto Sagrado

For the company’s board, returning to the pitch alongside Flamengo offers an immediate competitive advantage: they aren’t starting from scratch. With the weight of 45 million fans and the strength of the club’s brand in the collective imagination, Lubrax sees strong growth potential.

“We understand that this reconnection makes perfect sense in our current moment, as we seek to combine our tradition with the innovation and technology now present in our products, re-establishing our bond with Flamengo,” stated Marcelo Bragança, CEO of Lubrax.

Focus on women’s soccer and new activations

Beyond the impact on the men’s team, the agreement includes an important component: support for women’s soccer. According to the company’s leadership, incentivizing women in sports was a priority from the initial negotiations, also aiming for visibility ahead of next year’s Women’s World Cup.

The strategy goes well beyond the four lines. The club and the brand promise to be a part of the fans’ daily lives with activations that extend beyond match days. Starting in October, the Rubro-Negro nation can expect a series of integrated actions, consolidating a relationship that, according to the CEO, has the ambition to be as long-lasting as it was in the last century.

The return of Lubrax reinforces Flamengo‘s ability to attract major market players, confirming the club as the primary showcase for Brazilian soccer. With professional management and consistent figures, the Rubro-Negro continues to raise the bar for the sponsorship market in Brazil.
