FIFA has officially released the schedule for the Brazil women’s national team for the 2027 Women’s World Cup. With their debut confirmed for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil now knows the road ahead to the grand final at the Maracanã.
The countdown to the world’s biggest women’s soccer event took shape this Thursday (20). FIFA released the detailed schedule for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by Brazil from June 24 to July 25.
With expectations of drawing thousands of fans, the governing body revealed where the Brazil national team will begin their journey in search of their first-ever title.
Brazil’s opening path
As the top seed in Group A, Brazil already has confirmed dates and locations for the group stage. The opening match will take place on June 24 in Rio de Janeiro.
Following the opener, the team will travel to São Paulo for a match on June 29, and conclude their group stage participation in Brasília on July 4.
Projections and knockout stages
FIFA’s planning also mapped out the scenarios for the knockout rounds. Should Brazil advance to the Round of 16 as group winners, they will play in Fortaleza on July 10.
If they qualify in second place, the match will be held in Belo Horizonte on July 11. The full schedule, including semifinals in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, culminates in the grand final, set for July 25 at the legendary Maracanã stadium.
World Cup structure
In addition to the match venues, the tournament will feature eight host cities: Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Brasília, Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
While the official group draw is scheduled for December, attention is also shifting toward the international playoffs.
According to the M360 Team, this phase will be crucial in determining the final three national teams to complete the tournament field, with dates spread between late 2026 and the first half of 2027.
