New speculation about Vini Jr.’s future could bring millions to Flamengo.
Vini Jr.‘s future at Real Madrid remains shrouded in speculation, and the latest move by his agent, Michael Yormark, has raised alarms in London and Rio de Janeiro.
A photo posted on social media by Yormark, president of ROC Nation Sports International, indicating a trip to the English capital, fueled rumors of a possible transfer of the Brazilian forward to Arsenal.
For Flamengo, Vini Jr.’s boyhood club, the possibility of a deal opens a window of financial optimism.
Thanks to FIFA’s solidarity mechanism, the Rubro-Negro is entitled to 5% of any transaction involving the player.
If the striker’s departure from Real Madrid materializes at his current market value, estimated at 140 million euros (approximately R$ 824.4 million), Flamengo could pocket around 3.5 million euros (R$ 20.6 million).
Contract Standoff and Next Steps
Vini Jr.‘s contract situation with Real Madrid remains on hold.
The player, whose contract with the Spanish club ends in 2027, is seeking an annual salary of 20 million euros (around R$ 117.5 million) and full image rights.
The stalemate in renewal negotiations, coupled with his agent’s trip to London, intensifies rumors of a potential exit.
It is important to note that Yormark‘s agency also represents other coveted talents in the European market, such as Ivorian player Yan Diomande, also a target for Arsenal.
However, the agent’s strategic post, according to journalist João Vítor Reis of ‘Coluna do Fla‘, may have been a tactic to create instability within the Real Madrid board during renewal talks.
Vini Jr.‘s transfer from Flamengo to Real Madrid in 2018 for 45 million euros is still remembered as the biggest sale in the Rio club’s history, and the market’s eyes remain focused on every move the Brazilian star makes.
