Record Leads Brazilian League Broadcast Audience, Surpassing CazéTV and Premiere

With impressive Nielsen ratings, Record solidifies its position in broadcasting the Brasileirão, leaving behind direct competition from streaming and pay-per-view in the first 19 rounds.

The competition for broadcasting the Brazilian Championship has a new protagonist this season. Record, which has reclaimed space in national soccer, has been dominating the open TV audience’s preference.

In the first 19 rounds of the competition, the network achieved a performance superior to that of CazéTV and Premiere, consolidating a significant national reach advantage.

According to consolidated data from the PNT (National Television Panel), Record reached an average of six rating points in the matches it aired.

In contrast, direct competitors fell far short of these numbers: while CazéTV accumulated 0.9 points, Globo’s pay-per-view system, Premiere, registered only 0.6 points in the same Nielsen measurement.

Record Dominates National Derbies

The network’s success is not limited to the overall average, being primarily driven by the high volume of viewers for games with significant popular appeal.

The peak occurred in the derby between Corinthians and Palmeiras, valid for the 11th round, where the network reached impressive peaks of 11.8 rating points.

In this same matchup, the disparity was evident. According to the analysis by the M360 Team, the scenario was repeated in other significant duels:

CazéTV reached a peak of 1.8 points, while Premiere marked 1.4. Thus, Record also held the advantage in one of the championship’s main games.

Continuous Growth Through 2029

Another duel that highlighted Record‘s strength was the clash between Corinthians and Flamengo, in the 8th round.

On that occasion, the network reached a peak of 10.6 rating points, comfortably surpassing Premiere (2.8 points) and CazéTV (2.0 points).

The numbers reinforce the impact of open TV soccer for Brazilian fans.

With a contract valid until 2029, the São Paulo-based network continues to be an important pillar in the Brasileirão‘s sports programming.

Broadcasting one game per round has proven to be a winning strategy, keeping Record as the absolute leader in preference among the audience following the tournament via home television broadcasts.
