Flamengo’s 2-0 victory over Mirassol, in a rescheduled match from the fourth round of the Brazilian Serie A, brought more than just three points to the red-and-black faithful.
The standout performer of the night at the Maracanã was Lucas Paquetá, who delivered a stellar performance, showcasing rare versatility by playing virtually every role in both the offensive and defensive sectors, earning praise from manager Leonardo Jardim.
Leonardo Jardim stated:
I was just speaking with Paquetá at the end of the match and congratulating him because I think he played one of his best games with us.
However, the No. 20’s performance has given Jardim pause for thought: how to integrate such a versatile athlete into a team that already has established players and is enjoying a good run this season?

Paquetá’s performance against Mirassol was so comprehensive that the athlete moved across various areas of the field.
