This Tuesday (08), the Garotos do Ninho (Ninho’s Boys) gave Forte-ES no chance, scoring a resounding 6-0 victory in a match held at the CT Ninho do Urubu. The result not only confirmed the superiority of the Rio de Janeiro team but also sealed their spot in the second phase of the tournament.
The overwhelming performance marked a flawless start for the Rubro-Negro team, which demonstrated tactical organization and offensive efficiency from the opening minutes. The next stage of the competition maintains its single-game format, with Flamengo‘s match scheduled, according to the CBF, for October 7th.
The New Format of the U-20 Copa do Brasil
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has implemented significant changes to the U-20 Copa do Brasil, aiming to broaden participation from clubs across the country. The tournament, which currently features 32 teams, will be expanded to 64 participants starting in 2026.
From the round of 16 onwards, matches will be played in a home-and-away format, adding greater excitement to the decisive stages. This season’s grand final is scheduled for December 2nd, indicating a long journey for teams aspiring to the title.
