Impeccable preparation and major reinforcements
Before debuting in the national competition, the club from Gávea showed its strength by lifting the NBB Opening Tournament trophy against Brasília. Shortly after, they defeated Fluminense to claim their fiftieth Campeonato Carioca title.
In addition to the strong collective momentum, the roster was bolstered by the arrivals of Yago Mateus and Didi Louzada. The signings aim to revamp the group to overcome the early elimination suffered in the quarterfinals of the previous edition.
