Ferroviária, Flamengo, and Inter Secure Spots in Women’s Copa do Brasil Quarterfinals!

The Brazilian Women’s Football Cup has its first teams qualified for the quarterfinals. This Monday (20), Ferroviária, Flamengo, and Internacional stamped their tickets to the next stage of the competition, after winning their respective matches by a narrow 1-0 margin.

Ferroviária Overcomes Corinthians and Advances in the Copa do Brasil

Ferroviária, the current runner-up, showed strength and secured its qualification with a hard-fought victory over Corinthians. The goal that sealed the triumph for the Grená Warriors was scored by defender Andressa Pereira. The play began with a free-kick, followed by a scramble in the box that resulted in the decisive goal. The match was also marked by the expulsion of left winger Rhaizza in the final minutes of the clash.

Flamengo Defeats 3B da Amazônia and Continues Title Pursuit

In Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo capitalized on their home-field advantage and defeated 3B da Amazônia 1-0. The red-and-black goal was scored by forward Fernanda in the first half, after a beautiful cross from Fabi Simões. Kicking off the day’s matches, Internacional secured its spot in the quarterfinals by overcoming Coritiba 1-0, right at Couto Pereira stadium. Argentine forward Sole Jaimes was the author of the Colorado goal, taking advantage of a cross and a deflection in the box. With this result, the Rio Grande do Sul club matches its best campaign in the competition, achieved in 2025.
