Flamengo is close to negotiating forward Gonzalo Plata with Dynamo Moscow. The Russian club is preparing an R$60 million bid to finalize the signing in this transfer window.
Flamengo may be close to finalizing the departure of one of its attacking players. Dynamo Moscow, from Russia, has advanced talks with Gonzalo Plata‘s staff and is preparing a formal bid to bring the Ecuadorian from Rio de Janeiro. The deal is seen as an interesting financial opportunity for Rubro-Negro, which could profit from the transaction.
Negotiations between the player and the Russian club are at an advanced stage, with salary and contract length already defined. The official offer is expected to reach Flamengo’s board this Friday (28). The Russians’ objective is swift: the intention is for the forward to travel to Europe as early as this Saturday (28).
Negotiation Figures
To finalize the transfer, Dynamo Moscow has indicated a payment of approximately R$60 million for Plata‘s economic rights. The amount is appealing to Flamengo, especially when compared to the player’s acquisition cost, as he was brought from Al-Sadd, of Qatar, for around R$51 million.
The M360 Team points out:
Rubro-Negro had not planned to negotiate the player in this window; however, if the figures hold, the club sees it as a good business opportunity.
Squad Impact and Upcoming Matches
While bureaucratic procedures move forward, Plata continues his training routine at CT Ninho do Urubu. However, due to ongoing negotiations, the forward’s presence in the derby against Botafogo, scheduled for this Sunday (30) in the Brazilian Championship, is uncertain and unlikely.
Plata’s departure would conclude a victorious cycle at Mais Querido. Since arriving in August 2024, the player was a key figure in the Copa do Brasil victory, in addition to being part of the squad that lifted the Libertadores and Brasileirão trophies in 2025, consolidating his time at Flamengo with significant titles.
