The future of midfielder Allan remains uncertain as Corinthians looks for ways to finalize his purchase, but Flamengo is already planning a new negotiation for the 2027 season.
The destination of midfielder Allan, currently on loan to Corinthians, has become a central topic behind the scenes of the transfer market. With his loan agreement set to expire on December 31, the São Paulo club has yet to find a viable strategy to pay the €2 million — approximately R$ 11.8 million — set as a buyout option in his contract.
Although head coach Fernando Diniz has expressed his desire to include the player in his future plans, Timão‘s financial constraints have complicated the deal. The Corinthians board now needs to race against time or renegotiate terms with Rubro-Negro to secure the midfielder’s permanent stay in the squad.
Flamengo’s planning
Even with the possibility of a return to Gávea, Flamengo has already signaled that it does not intend to integrate Allan into its roster for the 2027 season. The Rubro-Negro midfield, which already features players like Evertton Araújo, Pulgar, Jorginho, Saúl, De la Cruz, and Paquetá, is heavily contested, making the midfielder’s departure a strategic alternative for the Rio management.
As reported by M360 Team, the Flamengo board’s plan is to seek a permanent transfer if Corinthians does not exercise the buyout option. The goal is to avoid re-integrating a player who has a contract until the end of 2027 and who has already publicly stated that his cycle at the club has come to an end.
A journey of ups and downs
Allan‘s stint at Flamengo was marked by achievements, such as the 2024 Copa do Brasil and state championships, but also by physical setbacks and difficulty establishing a run as a starter. Upon being presented at Corinthians in February 2026, the player was emphatic about his departure:
“I had no intention of staying at Flamengo due to playing time and minutes. I was happy, I can only be grateful, but my cycle has ended.”
The situation puts Corinthians in a delicate position. The club, which chose not to pay a specific fine that would allow the player to face the Rio team in September, is showing extreme caution with its finances. Expectations are that negotiations will intensify in the coming weeks to determine whether the midfielder will remain in Itaquera or seek new horizons away from Rio de Janeiro.
