In a recent interview, technical director José Boto was straightforward when addressing the 30-year-old forward’s departure, stating that the player chose to end his cycle at the club by deciding not to renew his contract, which is only valid until December of this year.
According to the executive, the player’s behind-the-scenes demeanor was crucial for the board’s decision to greenlight his departure.
Everton, for some time now, excluded himself from Flamengo, in the sense of not renewing his contract, which was the end of his cycle.
