National team to return to Brazil on charter flight with reduced group; players head off for vacation.
The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) has finalized plans for the Brazil national team’s return following their painful World Cup elimination. A portion of the delegation is scheduled to land at Galeão Airport in Rio de Janeiro early this Wednesday morning (8). However, it will not be a full squad arrival.
Only Danilo and Léo Nanetti, both Flamengo players, will be on the charter flight organized by the governing body. They will be accompanied by members of the technical staff returning to the country. The rest of the group, consisting mostly of players based in Europe, has been authorized to remain abroad to enjoy a well-deserved break with their families.
New Directions Post-Elimination
The defeat to Norway marked the end of a cycle, and the focus has now shifted to the future. While the CBF organizes the team’s next steps, the players are already planning their vacations, with many taking the time to rest and celebrate personal milestones.
Vacations and Celebrations
The schedule includes several celebrations. Vini Jr., for instance, has a special commitment in Ibiza on July 12, when he will turn 26. Meanwhile, Neymar, who confirmed the end of his journey with the national team, chose to extend his stay in the United States. He traveled to Orlando to celebrate his daughter Mel’s first birthday.
Although the mood remains somber following the elimination, the players of the Brazil national team have already begun preparing to return to normalcy and eventually consider new goals. This partial return to Brazil signals the end of this chapter and the beginning of a period of reflection and rest before the spotlight turns back to Brazilian football.
