CBF Appoints Lucas Casagrande to Referee Flamengo vs. Remo in Brazilian Serie A

Lucas Casagrande will officiate the match between Flamengo and Remo in the Brazilian Serie A

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced the officiating crew for the clash between Flamengo and Remo, scheduled for this Sunday (06), as part of the 26th round of the Brazilian Serie A.

Referee Lucas Casagrande will be responsible for officiating the match, which promises to impact both the top and bottom of the standings.

Casagrande will be assisted by assistant referees Bruno Boschilia and Victor Hugo Imazu dos Santos. The fourth official will be Anderson Ribeiro Goncalves, and the video assistant referee (VAR) assigned to the match is Heber Roberto Lopes.

Lucas Casagrande’s Record with Flamengo

Although he has not yet officiated Flamengo matches in the 2026 season, Lucas Casagrande has previously officiated two matches involving the Rio de Janeiro club in his career.

The first encounter was a 2-2 draw against Vitória in the 2024 Brazilian Serie A, and the second was an electrifying 3-3 draw against Mirassol in the final round of the 2025 championship.

Flamengo and Remo’s Current Situation in the Brazilian Serie A

Flamengo enters this match in second place in the Brazilian Serie A, with 51 points. Following their victory over Mirassol, the Rio de Janeiro-based team is just one point behind leaders Palmeiras, remaining in direct contention for the title.

On the other hand, Remo is in a precarious situation. The team is in second-to-last place in the 2026 championship with 23 points, only ahead of Chapecoense. In 23 matches played, the team led by Léo Condé has accumulated five wins, eight draws, and 12 losses.
