After a lengthy negotiation, Bragantino has officially signed forward Wallace Yan, formerly of Flamengo, in a multi-million euro deal that also includes a new reinforcement for the Rubro-Negro’s youth academy.
The saga surrounding Wallace Yan‘s future has finally reached its conclusion. On Wednesday night (02), Bragantino announced the arrival of the 21-year-old forward via their social media channels.
The player has signed a long-term contract, valid until December 2031, solidifying his permanent transfer from Flamengo to the São Paulo-based club.
The financial operation involves an approximate payment of 6 million euros (around R$ 35.5 million) for 70% of the player’s economic rights.
As part of the agreement, Bragantino has loaned young forward Juliano Viana to Rubro-Negro, who will bolster the U-20 squad. Viana‘s market value is estimated at 1.5 million euros (R$ 8.8 million).
Behind the Scenes and the End of the Saga
Wallace Yan‘s departure had been anticipated since early 2026. In January, the player had already bid farewell to Flamengo, but the deal was halted at the time by president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap.
Following his return, the forward found limited opportunities in the squad managed by Leonardo Jardim, often playing second fiddle to players like Pedro and Bruno Henrique in the coaching staff’s pecking order.
Career at Rubro-Negro
Developed in the youth academy under Filipe Luís, Wallace Yan transitioned from a winger to a center-forward role. In 49 appearances for the senior team, he scored seven goals and provided five assists.
Among his most notable moments were his goal against Chelsea in last year’s Club World Cup and his strike against Benfica in a friendly match held in 2026, both marking his tenure.
