Left-back Ayrton Lucas expressed relief and satisfaction following Flamengo‘s qualification for the Libertadores quarterfinals. In an interview, the player detailed his process of overcoming a dip in form, highlighting the importance of consistent work and the support he received.
Focus and resilience amidst the pressure
Despite the uncertainty and the possibility of new signings for his position, Ayrton Lucas maintained his dedication in training. He noted that the trust placed in him by the coaching staff and the unity of the group were crucial to his technical recovery.
The player stated:
It was a challenging period, but I always believed in my potential and the work I have been developing here at Flamengo. The support from the Nação Rubro-Negra and my teammates was fundamental for my turnaround.
