Qualifying for the Round of 16 in the World Cup also means a significant financial boost for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). FIFA awards $15 million—approximately R$ 75 million—to teams that reach at least this stage of the competition. Should Brazil be eliminated in their upcoming match against Norway this Sunday, this is the amount the CBF will take home, with a portion of the funds allocated directly to the delegation.

However, both the CBF and the national team itself are aiming higher than the Round of 16. The primary goal is to secure a sixth world title, pursuing both sporting glory and, consequently, the largest possible prize money. FIFA will award the world champion a substantial $50 million, or roughly R$ 251 million. If Brazil advances past Norway on Sunday, the team will move up to the next prize bracket, guaranteeing a total of $19 million, or about R$ 95 million.
