Santos has confirmed the arrival of midfielder Lima, on loan from Fluminense until the end of the season. The player has already been registered in the BID and is available to coach Cuca.
The transfer market remains busy at Vila Belmiro. Santos officially announced the signing of 30-year-old midfielder Lima this Friday.
The player, who belongs to Fluminense, joins the club on a loan deal valid until the end of the year, with an option to extend the contract at the end of this period.
The negotiations, which had been monitored since August, gained momentum after the Santos medical department raised concerns regarding the injuries to Barreal and star player Neymar.
The urgent need for reinforcements in the creative department accelerated talks between the two clubs’ boards.

Administrative agility allowed the player’s name to be quickly included in the CBF’s Daily Newsletter (BID).
With his paperwork in order, Lima is now cleared to be included in manager Cuca‘s squad for the direct matchup against Internacional, scheduled for this Sunday in the Brazilian Serie A.

The player returns to Brazilian football following a brief stint with América in Mexico. The midfielder is the third signing announced by the team after the lifting of the transfer ban imposed by FIFA, joining defensive midfielder Arthur and full-back Rodinei.
The club is still looking for a left-back and a forward before the transfer window closes on September 11.
