Tottenham confirms signing of Savinho, the largest sale in Manchester City’s history.
Brazilian forward Savinho, 22, is the latest addition to the Tottenham squad. The deal, valued at approximately £85 million (including £75 million in fixed fees and £10 million in performance-based bonuses), sets a new record for Manchester City in terms of player sales. The athlete, who leaves the English side after two seasons, arrives to bolster the Spurs’ attacking line.

Career path and achievements
Signed by Manchester City in 2024 after impressing at Girona, Savinho made 84 appearances and scored seven goals. His stint at the English club was marked by significant achievements. Before arriving in England, the forward had spells at Atlético-MG, Troyes, PSV, and Girona, where he gained international prominence by contributing to the historic campaign that led the Spanish club to the Champions League.
For the Brazil national team, Savinho has accumulated 13 appearances and one goal, having made his debut in March 2024.
Investment and transfer window landscape
The signing of Savinho reinforces Tottenham’s high-investment strategy in this transfer window. The club had already announced the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke, in addition to securing Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers.
