The partnership between FIFA and Louis Vuitton is renewed for the 2026 World Cup final, maintaining the tradition of the luxury trunk that will transport the most coveted trophy in world football to the pitch.

The anticipation for the grand final of the 2026 World Cup, which takes place this Sunday (19) in the United States, extends beyond the clash between the national teams of Spain and Argentina. The moment the trophy enters the field, one of the most awaited by fans, will once again feature the touch of exclusivity and sophistication from the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton.

The brand will be responsible for transporting the trophy inside a personalized trunk, maintaining a long-standing partnership that unites high fashion with the pinnacle of global football. The piece, developed under total secrecy, will be revealed just minutes before the start of the final, carried to the center of the pitch by a brand ambassador and a legendary star invited by FIFA.

A Legacy of Luxury on the Pitch

The joint work between football’s governing body and Louis Vuitton is nothing new. The tradition began at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and has been repeated in all subsequent editions (2014, 2018, and 2022). The 2026 trunk follows the brand’s standard: an iconic coating with gold-plated metal details.

“The moment it is carried onto the field before the final match will, once again, be a landmark moment, uniting tradition with the pinnacle of modern football,” highlighted Romy Gai, FIFA‘s Chief Commercial Officer.

Commercial Impact and Expansion

For Louis Vuitton CEO, Pietro Beccari, the collaboration represents more than prestige. “We are very happy to continue this partnership in 2026. At its core is the most coveted trophy in the world, a symbol of dedication, collective ambition, and the ultimate celebration of victory,” stated the executive.

In addition to transporting the trophy, the partnership includes a line of licensed products, including exclusive luggage that carries the visual identity of the 2026 World Cup. The luxury brand also continues to expand its presence in global sports, with collaborations with Real Madrid and a decade-long contract with Formula 1, consolidating the use of its famous Trophy Trunks in the planet’s biggest sporting events.

While Spain seeks a second championship and Argentina defends the title won in 2022, Louis Vuitton‘s luxury trunk promises to be one of the most brilliant supporting acts in Sunday’s final. The match kicks off at 4 PM (Brasília time) to decide who will take home the trophy guarded with such exclusivity.
