Atlético Mineiro confirmed the permanent sale of young forward Lucas Louback to the United Arab Emirates club Al-Nasr. The black-and-white club retained 30% of the player’s economic rights for future negotiations.
Galo officially announced on Monday (August 10) the transfer of one of its academy’s promising talents to international football. Forward Lucas Louback, who had been standing out in the U-20 team, was sold to Al-Nasr, a team based in Dubai.
The transaction marks another step for the Minas Gerais club in exporting talents developed at Cidade do Galo. Although the financial details of the deal were not officially disclosed, the club retained a 30% stake in the player’s rights, ensuring a strategic share in any future transfer of the athlete.

Joining Atlético’s academy in 2022 to strengthen the U-17 team, Lucas Louback quickly showed his goal-scoring ability. During his transition to the U-20 squad, the young player solidified his place, playing 36 matches and scoring ten goals in his first two years with the club.
The year 2025 was a watershed moment in the forward’s career. With 15 goals scored in 34 games, he had his most prolific season in the youth categories, which caught the attention of the main team’s coaching staff.
Experience with the First Team
The strong performance in youth competitions earned Lucas Louback his first opportunity with Atlético‘s senior squad. He participated in three matches in the Campeonato Mineiro, facing teams like Aymorés, Democrata-GV, and Pouso Alegre.
The move to football in the United Arab Emirates comes after a consistent season with the U-20 team, where the player registered 18 appearances and scored seven goals.
