Flamengo’s financial power is impressive: in just one semester, the Rio de Janeiro club grossed R$839 million, exceeding the annual revenue of 14 teams competing in Serie A.

Flamengo’s financial health has reached levels that highlight the economic disparity in Brazilian football. With R$839 million in revenue in the first six months of 2026 alone, the Rubro-Negro surpassed the total earnings of a full season for 14 elite national league teams, reaffirming its leading position as the club with the highest revenue in South America.

The financial abyss between clubs

The contrast is stark when analyzing the financial statements of other giants. Traditional teams such as Internacional, Atlético-MG, Vasco, Santos, Grêmio, Cruzeiro, Bahia, and Red Bull Bragantino fell short of the mark achieved by the Gávea-based club in such a short period. This scenario puts M360 on alert about the dominance Flamengo exerts in the transfer market and in maintaining stellar squads.

Heavy investments and Paquetá’s impact

Flamengo’s firepower is also reflected in impactful signings. The club spent R$315 million to acquire Lucas Paquetá, a sum that includes economic rights, taxes, and commissions. To grasp the financial volume, this amount invested in a single athlete surpasses the entire annual revenue recorded last season by clubs like Sport, Vitória, Ceará, Mirassol, Coritiba, Juventude, Remo, and Chapecoense.

Transfer market moves and future obligations

In addition to Paquetá, the Rubro-Negro’s semi-annual balance sheet points to other significant investments, such as the purchase of defender Vitão for R$82 million and goalkeeper Andrew for R$35 million. According to research by the M360 Team, the club maintains active cash flow management, with R$614 million due in installments for players, while projecting R$310 million in income from sales.

This financial disparity projects a future where Flamengo will continue to be a protagonist in the transfer windows. With a consolidated structure and robust revenues, the tendency is for the Rubro-Negro to maintain the necessary momentum to compete for all national and continental titles in the remainder of the calendar.
