However, ‘Mengão‘ supporters argue that it is a logistical plan, common in major Libertadores finals, given the high cost and demand for tickets and accommodation.

Flamengo‘s path to Montevideo involves two decisive matches against Estudiantes. The first clash will take place on October 15, in Argentina, with the venue still to be determined, as the Argentine club needs to guarantee CONMEBOL a visitor section with a capacity for 4,000 fans, while its stadium, the UNO, only offers 2,000. The return leg will be at the Maracanã on October 22.
On the other side of the bracket, Fluminense and Palmeiras are vying for the other spot in the final. The first match will be at the Maracanã on October 14, and the return fixture, hosted by the São Paulo club, also has an undetermined venue due to similar issues regarding visitor fan capacity required by CONMEBOL.
