Flamengo intensifies training for decisive clashes against Cruzeiro on two fronts.

Flamengo will not rest after their impressive 5-0 rout over Mirassol, a result that solidified their second-place position in the Brazilian Serie A. The team returns to the field this Monday (17) to begin preparations focused on two crucial matchups against Cruzeiro. The initial priority is the decisive Copa Libertadores da América match, with the Round of 16 second leg scheduled for next Wednesday (19).

The weekly schedule released by the club indicates an intense routine of activities at the Ninho do Urubu training center. Head coach Leonardo Jardim will have only two tactical training sessions to fine-tune the strategy before facing Cruzeiro in the continental competition. On match day, a morning activation session aims to ensure the athletes are in peak physical condition.
