Flamengo is close to finalizing the sale of promising talent Wallace Yan to Bragantino. The deal is worth around 6 million euros for 70% of the athlete’s rights.
Activity behind the scenes at Ninho do Urubu indicates a significant change for Flamengo’s squad for the remainder of the season.
Flamengo has advanced negotiations for the 21-year-old forward Wallace Yan with Red Bull Bragantino, in a deal aimed at balancing finances and providing the young talent with professional playing time.
The deal’s value has been set at 6 million euros — approximately R$36.2 million at the current exchange rate — for the acquisition of 70% of the player’s economic rights.
In addition to the financial compensation, the contract stipulates the transfer of a youth academy prospect from the São Paulo club to Gávea, reinforcing the integration project between the organizations.
Persistence in the Transfer Market
This isn’t the first time Massa Bruta has sought to sign the forward. Earlier in 2024, the São Paulo club had attempted to invest 10 million euros in the athlete.
At the time, the transaction was not concluded due to stalemates over the payment schedule, which kept Wallace Yan under Filipe Luís‘s command during that period.
The M360 Team points out:
The negotiation, now considered advanced, reflects the player’s increased value, as he has stood out for his offensive versatility and adaptability to demanding tactical schemes.
Legacy and Future at Bragantino
Wallace Yan‘s performance last season was one of the highlights for Flamengo’s youth teams. In 33 matches played, the youngster scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists to his teammates.
In addition to his impressive statistics, his resume includes experience as part of the squad that won the Libertadores and the Brazilian Serie A, as well as international experience in the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.
The board expects the bureaucratic procedures to be finalized in the coming days.
For Flamengo, the sale represents an opportunity for immediate capital injection, while for Wallace Yan, the move to Bragança Paulista means a chance to be a key player in the Brazilian Serie A.
