Amazonas FC intensifies preparation for the final round of Serie C and announces the arrival of midfielder Guty, who joins on loan to bolster Rodrigo Santana‘s squad.
The final stretch of the first phase of the Brazilian Championship‘s Serie C promises strong emotions for Amazonas FC. In pursuit of a spot in the coveted G-8, the management of Onça-Pintada acted quickly in the transfer market and confirmed the signing of midfielder Guty.
The player, who belongs to Remo, arrives at the Amazonas club after a stint with Brasil de Pelotas.
A signing familiar to the coach
At 23 years old, Guty reunites with a familiar face: coach Rodrigo Santana. The two previously worked together at Remo, where the player got opportunities in the main squad, even starting in the Campeonato Paraense.
This familiarity with the coach’s working methods is seen by the management as a significant advantage for the player’s quick adaptation during this decisive phase.
Stats and regularization
This season, the midfielder gained experience by playing in Serie D and the FGF Cup for Brasil de Pelotas, accumulating 14 appearances, two goals, and two assists. He also played for Santa Rosa, a club to which he was loaned by Remo.
With his paperwork in order, Guty has already been registered in the CBF‘s Daily Information Bulletin (BID) and is fully eligible to debut.
Focus on advancing to the second phase
Amazonas is currently on an upward trend. The team is undefeated in its last four matches, with two draws and two wins. Currently with 25 points, the club sits in 12th place in the standings and needs to surpass Ferroviária, the last team in the qualifying group, to continue dreaming of promotion.
To secure a spot in the final quartet, Onça-Pintada must defeat Ypiranga-RS this Saturday (29), at 5 PM (Brasilia time), at the Carlos Zamith stadium. In addition to a win, Rodrigo Santana‘s team will depend on a combination of unfavorable results from direct rivals, such as Guarani, Maranhão, Maringá, and Floresta.
The final round will feature simultaneous matches for all games, heightening the expectations of the Manaus fans.
